One of my fellow club members (Mustang Club of Houston) campaigns a 76 at a local track. He's always a top finisher. It's in a Car Club Bash between local clubs. http://www.lonestarraceway.com/html/car_club.html

Gotta love him beating out Lightnings, F-Bodies, ricers, etc on a regular basis in a car most people flat out hate!

I'm all for MII support, but don't kid yourself on the Lightning thing. You know HALO has dominated the CCBs and local Houston races for years now.

Oh BTW, I'm also a bit bias, as the HALO guys are mostly my customers :D .

He only races here in Houston. He is planning on selling it once his 71-73 (? year) is finished.

About 5 years ago he was bumming through the classifeds and saw a race car advertised real cheap. He went to take a look at it. It was already prepped and had the motor in it. I believe he only paid between $500-$1000 for all of it. Since then he's made it go alot quicker.

As for the CCB it's bracket racing. Most of those Lightnings have problems hooking up. This driver sometimes races and wins in his 98 F150 Anniv truck. They reworked the points system this year to make it more fair to the smaller clubs.
