Like a bonehead I broke a dogbone by accidentally dropping a hammer on it (out of the engine) and now I need a new one. The local idiots at the parts places can't even find it in their computers. Anyone have a part number (there's nothing stamped on them but "up").

    Thanks

Wow that's a good question. My first answer would be a junkyard since i have no idea where to get them. Maybe a dealership?

Check ebay, theres a guy selling the spider and dogbones as a set. No one has bid on it yet so the price is still at $9.99. I don't think we're suppose to link to active ebay auctions so just do a search for 5.0 lifters and scroll down you'll see it.

Shopping thread? Just because I'm not asking how much power I'd gain by removing them doesn't mean it isn't technical.

I think I'll try the dealership and then maybe the pick-n-pull. Do t-birds and older crown vic 5.0's have them?
