My wife has a '76 Mustang. As you already know, I'm a newbie. What's the difference between a '76 Mustang II and a Ghia?

Welcome to Stangnet's II forum :)

The Ghia is a particular model of II (designated by the 3rd and 4th digits on the VIN which is "04" for Ghias) Basically the Ghia is the "luxury" version of the hardtop (coupe). Notable features are the 1/2 vinyl roof and from '75 on the smaller "opera" windows. Interiors usually had a velour fabric specific to them as well.

Thankyou so much. The car is stored in another location, so I will check the VIN some time next week. I expect to be using this forum quite a bit, and just hope that a lot of you "old-timers" will be able to put up with a lot of inexperience questions from an old newbie like me.
    Thanks again, "Turbo II".
