Just like the title says, im looking for a locking gas cap for my 2006 mustang GT. I've found locking billet gas cap covers but those are expensive and i rather just have like a cap of some sort. Anyone have any links?:)

Here's the problem I had when I put aftermarket locking caps on my 2000: They didn't seal perfectly, making the check engine light come on. I tried a couple of brands and they both did the same thing.

My guess is that the 2005's emissions system is even more @#%@ sensitive. You can always give it a try...Worst case, you waste a few $$ and have to go to the dealership if the CEL won't reset.

I thought I read that the 2004 Ford F150 gas cap was the right size. Might have been another forum...

    I have a Stant part # 10510 that I purchased from www.rockauto.com
Works good for me. You can attach the gas cap holder dat attaches to the gas cap door. No problems so far.

For what it's worth I just bought a locking cap at autozone for the 2005 (they didn't have 06s) and it didnt fit.
It was a Quality Standard CST 5502.
    about 20$

The chances of somebody actually siphoning the gas seems kinda slim to me caus if u look at the fill tube on the 05's its a long way to the tank and a crooked road at that. Thats not to say its not impossible.

what does this mean and is it posible he really screwed it up bad?
    thanks

never mind it was a graphic of a lock and my car. FOr the security alarm. good thing I didnt go jump his ass.

most gas caps are held on with a christmas tree type clip.
