They're a lil beat up but nothing a some prep work can't handle. I deserve a banana cause I finally found them. I had been looking for a set since forever. PS, I was thinking of molding them once I get them on the car, think it's a good idea?
A local mustang guy was selling them. The whole offer came out of the blue. I didn't want to pass it up so now they're safe at my house.
good find. dont really like the svo on the side tho. fiberglass correct? got some tips pickup out yet? might be interested in that tweecer you got.
Nice I like those side skirts! I coulda got a pair of xenon sides for $40 canadian but didnt think they would look right on my stang?
i don't recommend you mold them--sure, they'll look sick, but what happens if you go out for gas at midnight in a city you're not familiar with, hit a curb and crack them!? oh, and raul will take your tweecer, he's got hte cash.
Paul, I've got already 3 pms and they are very interested. I'll give Raul first pic. Just have him call me. And only you can go somewhere and not see a 2 foot high sidewalk and run over it. lol, j/k bro
lol, pinche wino. And nope, I don't have any tips picked out. I can either get some oval ones or some dual. I'll probably just use them as a decoy like Eleanor in the movie. WHy? Not to copy, but I already tried a custom side exhaust with my mufflers and it sounded like crap. I may consider some straight thru mufflers but we'll see.
Those look kind of beat (sorry to tell the truth) I really think those side skirts look killer on our cars, you could glass over everything-delete the writing-and smooth everything down. Some guy on this site has them on a black sn95 with 00 cobra r's (maybe you have seen a pic of his dog laying next to his ride?) But hey, for $70 you could clean them up and they would really nice on your stang. Good luck man! -fawcett
they will definitely need some prep. Like I said in my PM response to you, I wouldn't recommend molding them to the car. I am going to have to take one off soon to fix a crack from pulling off the lift at the alignment shop (can't see it, it's on the bottom). It would be much more of a b**** to fix it if I couldn't just take it off and work on it. Good find though, $70 isn't bad...especially since they dont make the SVO ones anymore. P.S. if you want inserts to fit in the SVO letters once you get them all painted and nice lookin, Tom (69clark) has the patterns still from the set he made for mine. He can do any color, plus brushed aluminum, chrome, and carbon fiber. I'm sure he'd give you a good price to do it too, shoot him a PM if you are interested. Edit: here's a pic of the inserts
95riosnake: love your ride, dont change anything (bumper) your car looks sick congrats on the killer ride and nice post-this fellow should def. use those inserts you suggested unless he ends up fiberglassing over the SVO logos. again good luck with everything you do and way to go CAROLINA!!!!!!!!! -fawcett
Fiberglassing over the svo would be ridiculous. That's the whole reason why I didn't pass on these and get the abc's version. I really wanted the SVO to be on them. I've got the Cobra R hood with SVO scoop, the SVO skirts, cobra rear bumper (just says Mustang), and I'm missing th cobra front(like Dan up top) and a nice spoiler, I'll probably keep my 99 cobra wheels as well. So, I guess I'm staying true to a cobra design.
