well ive finally got a good paying job and not in school for the summer so that means its time to look into a new motor. I would really like to get a new crate motor in my 84 gt. I would like to find a good 300-350 hp motor for around $2500. Ive seen some on ebay from a place in arizona that looks good but im not sure....if anybody knows of any good crate motors or websites i can look at them at please let me know.

I looked at that motor when mine crapped out. After doing allot of research, I noticed many people were not happy with the horsepower they ended up with after installing it. I decided to have my block rebuilt and get new H/C/I. It was a little cheaper also.
what do yall think about this engine. This is a 96-00 explorer motor w/the gt40 heads. I know this is a strong motor and seems like a popular swap into a mustang. This motor is rebuilt and also only $1500 from what looks like a reputable company. I put that Engine in my '89 a couple years ago. Pretty much a plug and play (which is why I did it) Good Luck!
