I'm Looking for a set of lowering springs. Can anyone give me some advice on which ones to go with? Will I need caster/camber plates after lowering it for a accurate alignment? I've been thinking that some 1 1/2" springs would really make it look good. Somebody let me know what you think.
I'm going to be installing the Eibach pro-kit springs on my 96 Cobra with in a few weeks, so I will let you know how they are. I have also herd that H&R springs are top notch as well.
I also bought the Steeda Caster/Camber plates to go on when installing the springs. As well as some new bushings.
I've got the H&R Race with MM Caster camber plates. The ride is awesome, but I wish it were a little lower in the front. Check out my sig link.
i just put on the eibach springs and steeda c/c plates and i love them. the car rides a little harder than i would like sometimes but i haven't got shocks and struts yet. the body roll that i had throught the corners feels like it is all but gone. handling is 100% better and the car looks a crap ton better. i have heard that the h&r springs are good as well. you will need c/c plates when you get it lowered so that they can set your alighnment after. good luck and enjoy.
I almost got the prokit, but I went with H&R SS instead. I just wanted it to sit a little different, than the more popular eibach. They are awesome springs! Just think about ground clearence if you go any lower than 1.5". My 2 cents, good luck, chris
have the H&R SS springs and Bilsteins on the '01 Cobra vert. Dropped it a lot - maybe 2" in the front; 1-3/4" in back. Nice front-down rake and ride is firm. But, the K-member is too close to the ground - hits high spots in the road. I'm thinking of getting some spacers.

I got KB springs and MM Caster Camber plates. Haven't installed them yet though...I'm seen pics of them and I like.
I dont like that raked look (real low in the front and up in the back) but anyway I have hypercoil springs in mine and they are great. I have had 2 mustangs, both lowered quite a bit and with no CC plates on either. they are not needed! You just need a good alignment shop to redrill some new holes for you.
