    Hi all,

I have a 65 coupe that's been in storage and sorely neglected for almost 25 years. Yes, I know - I'm a bad Mustang owner... The car was in decent shape when I last drove it, but clearly it will need a lot to make it roadworthy again. I am thus looking for a shop to do some

    Bodywork:
    • Repair cowl vent leaks
    • Repair hole (rust) in rear floor
    • Repair rear quarters and wheelwells (hole in wheelwell allows water into trunk)
    • New door skins
    • Sandblast and paint engine compartment
    • Paint the car

    Electrical work

    • Rewire the vehicle (as I recall, it would stall when you hit the high-beam switch)

    Mechanical work
    • Replace engine
    • Transmission (thinking about AOD)

    et cetera...

The car is currently in northern New Jersey. Really looking for some advice on who could do some nice work (and who to avoid). Not making a show car by any means - just a clean, fairly "original" 65 coupe...

    many thanks

My God, is it really worth it? Sounds like a $20,000+ restoration.
