    Hey bros.
I recently bought some slp loumouth 1 resonators and I'm wanting to do a side exit exhaust. I was just if any of you guys out there have heard these before. I want a loud deep exhaust tone and not rattling ricey tone. Any ideas? Ive heard them on a v8 and they sound good but i havent heard them on a v6 before.I trying to decide to either use the stock Y-pipe or cut it off behind the cats.
So any ideas are welcome
    Thanks

Keep the cats in... V6's with out cats sound like ass on burnt toast. What are you planing on using for the exhaust its self?

For the best sound on a v6, go with true duals, no y-pipe, but leave the cats.

If you're looking for a deep sound on a V6, I would NOT go with resonators....that's going to give the car no tone at all, it will just be loud. I'd also leave the cats, I have a side exit exhaust on my car with a custom h-pipe, 2 cats, and 2 magnaflow mufflers....it sounds alright at lower rpm's but it does get kind of ricey/importy at higher rpm's, I think there's just really no way around that sound coming from a V6.

    Thanks for replies
I really wanted to know if it would make it sound like a ricer?
I definitely dont want that. We already have enough of those fart cars where I live. All they do is ride up and down our strip seeing who can make there cars backfire the loudest. Its really embarrasing.
Anyways if yall think they will make my car sound like a ricer let me know.
If it will Ill just send them back. I was planning on going off my Y-pipe but some company makes an adapter that you just cut off behind the cats and weld or clamp it on. Its like 90 dollars. Ill probably get that. Ill get spintech or something else if the loudmouths are for sure ricer material. Anyone have suggestions on a brand? In the higher rpm's is where my car sounds best now
I cut the muffler off just for fun and it actually sounds good. I had a ls1 guy give me props for it the other day. He couldnt believe that v6 could sound like that.
P.S. Anyone know where I can get underdrive pulleys, 3.73 gears, and a t-lok for cheap? Could I really screw something up if I tried to install the gears and t-lok myself? I dont wanna pay 200 or 300 extra for installation. I dont drive during the week only on weekends so I have plenty of time to do it myself. Underdrive pulley i know i can do myself.
    Thanks
I got owned by an ls1 once. Anyone else ever felt stupid for racing one?

    ^Ok.

For the best sounding exhaust on a V6 go with Borla, magnaflow or bassani. Yes you can seriously mess something up if you do the t-lok and gears by your self, it's worth the 200$ install. Pulleys you can do your self but make sure you have everything you need. I've gotten beat by camaros and trans-ams alot, I don't feel stupid for racing them 'cause I think it's fun and I love that "feeling". Besides, when I race some in traffic I have a decent chance at winning, 'cause sometimes they get caught up in traffic for 2 or 3 seconds, but all around I love racing anycar that will give me a run for my money, so to speak. Racing ricers is probably what I like and diss like the best. I love being able to just spank them unmercifully but I hate the way most of them drive, they're really aggressive and not patient at all, so they sometimes make stupid decisions and almost cause an accident. I'm a reall aggressive driver but i'm patient when it counts... but that's just me.
