how hard is it going to be to install a set of JBA or Hooker long tubes on my 05. does it require dropping the k-member or raising the engine?

i dont know if anyone else had to do this, but i had to notch off some of the block on the passenger side to fit the header in. no dropping the k-member, might be jacking the engine up a little if it helps you more.

With my JBA's I had to raise the engine an inch or so... no big deal, these motor mount nuts are a piece of cake to get to. I had to undo the steering shaft too.

installation was not hard, I did it by myself. I would recommend getting someone to help you.

What LTs can be installed without making other changes?

    Hey guys,

I want to get some LT headers, O/R H or X and then Borlas. Can you guys point me to headers that i can install that do not require K member changes, motor mounts or anything but general removal of existing exhaust manifolds and install of LTs? Or am i going to have to make some minor changes for the LTs no matter what? Thanks again.:hail2:

I installed my Hooker LTs on my own. A buddy of mine let me use his lift, which made things MUCH easier. Mine went on perfectly, I did have to unbolt and lift the engine, and I also removed the starter motor. Not necessary, just made things a little more maneuverable. Nothing needed to be changed or altered, just swap out the old and in with the new:nice:

L/T headers are a PITB to install.
