Even when you start to mod, the mach 1 responds even better to the same mods as the GT, the cobra just picks up insane amounts of power for simple mods.

Hey, I didn't mean to open a can 'o worms with this thread. I personally like everything about the Mach1 over my GT, but that is my preference. I have a buddy that doesn't like the black hood and spoiler and he can't stand the rims...but he didn't buy it, I did.

    Just my $.02

Don't worry about it, this happens everytime someone tries to get an idea of what one model has compared to another. There's always somebody that will come along with the "well, just keep the GT, throw everything, including the kitchen sink under the hood, deplete your bank account, and you'll be able to smoke that Mach 1." That always sounds like good advice to me. :nonono: On the other hand, I added 1 $400 mod to my Mach 1 which elevates it into Cobra territory, a 75shot of nitrous! :D

why would you go from a newer car to an older car the older car is going to be worth less when it comes time to trade up or sell regardless if it is a mach 1.

Uh did you not read the thread? The car was one year older, but had less miles on it. With all the features the Mach offers that the GT doesn't, you'd be dumb not to trade, unless you just didn't care for the looks of the car. As far as HP wise, seems like the guys over at Mach 1 registry are dynoing around 275 or so stock to the rear wheels. With X pipe, catback, and filter they seem to be in the 300 RWHP terroritory running low 13's. Can't beat that.
