Mach 460 help??

    Hello I just bought a 01 bullitt and it has the mach 460 system in it I wanted to get nav in it but they told me that it had to be rewired?? and told me it would be 100+ dollars to do just the rewire thats no equipment, how hard is it to rewire the car myself I am just curious if anyone has some pointers or maybe a website that could help me out thank you for your time !

    Are you getting the combo stereo/nav system? If so you should only need a harness and the line converter to run the amps with the new unit.

    Well I went to a couple local shops to get a quote on how much to complete everything now they are saying around 375+ with speaker installs I would like to do it myself but im worried it would be a ****, do you know if it is super hard to totally rewire my car with new wire and new speakers?

    It's not super hard if you have done it before or have installed car audio equipment before. Mach 460 delete's just takes a lot of time and patience. You gonna install new amps too?

    well I have installed a few things and no I am not gonna do amps yet I am just gonna or should I say I would like to wire the car with all new wire and take out the stock stuff, unless I can reuse the speaker wire and just change the actual cd player itself? but what is involved in rewiring the car what do I have to take off in order to get to it and I am especially worried about the back dont wanna scratch anything or break any tabs or anything any help would be really appreciated!!!

    You can swap the head unit and not change the rest of the system f you want. Are you wanting to gut the whole system or just install another HU?

    +1 alot of these pro-shops will want to rip out everything mach460 related and put all new wiring, speakers, etc. However, you can simply take out the HU and use a wiring harness adapter to put a new aftermarket HU in while utilizing the old wiring and amps. if you got a bit of patience and logic skills, you can save a nutload of money by installing the new HU yourself without riping everything out.

    LOL :D well the size of a nutload is relative to the SIZE of the person saying it :D :D :D .......which in my case is :D .......relatively average?? :shrug:

    i couldnt say a**load or b****load without the censor nah mean
