Man I mutilated my cowl panel

    It has been squeaking like crazy lately so I attempted to remove it carefully yesterday. I'm in Florida, and it isn't cold but that thing was SO briddle. it cracked everytime I moved it! I knew where the clips and fasteners are and still it basically deteriorated. This sucks cause I don't feel like dropping $150 on a piece of plastic!

    I swear the exact same thing happened to mine like a week ago. I just walked out to my car and it was cracked. But I don't have 150 to spend on the worthless piece of plastic right not so it will have to wait. I was pissed off though. Ford...:nonono:

    Yep--Mine is actually broke on the driver side edge and is missing about a 1 inch piece. I can only imagine how much worse it'll get when I attempt to yank it out. Sucks that it costs so much, but its not like you can go purchase a used one from a junk yard, as they'll crack just as soon :rlaugh:

    What the hell! That is EXACTLY where mine is cracked. Where it meets with the quarter panel and the hood ... Like something just took a bite out of it. :notnice:

    This is funny my windshield washer passenger sprayer wasn't working. I took it to the local shop. They called up saying they broke the cowl when they tried to remove it by accident. So they replaced it with a new one for free. I guess I got lucky lol.
