NOTE: Before I get ****ed at for street racing, it technically was not street racing. We raced on an abandoned asphalt runway that is owned by the county, but not used for anything, hence people use it for drag racing and fireworks and the like. The only people we were endangering were ourselves, which happens even when you go to the track, with that said, here we go. So, I havent had time to install all the parts in my sig. the parts yet to be installed are the: MAF, 24# injectors, AFPR, Heads, Cam, and pullies. Which means the current installed mods I am running are the: Cobra Intake, MAC CAI, BBK 70mm TB, 3.55 gears, headers, X-pipe, mufflers, and clutch. He has: BBK CAI, and Flowmaster 40 series catback, thats it. So we a raced from a dig. First race I beat him off the line and we both spun through first and part of second, once we got traction we were dead even until about 90 something mph, when he pulled on me, when I shut off at 105mph, my front bumper was at his rear wheel. Not too bad in my opinion considering the mods I am running right now. When I get back from summer school in July Im going to put all the other stuff on the car, then we will race again, and hopefully I will beat him.
Good race...a properly driven 96-98 DOHC would pull you a bit more than that though... I figure with your future mods, you won't have as much trouble
