Meguiars 3 step process?

    there's a 3 step process at autozone. it's a paint cleaner, polish, and a wax. is this any good and someone told me tha i need to be careful with the cleaner. is this true and is this good stuff? thanks

    I'd say there's much better stuff out there.

    You might want to browse around autopia.org...they have some great info on there. For red, I'd personally go with the same combo that I use...Poorboy's SSR 2.5 for swirls, Clearkote Vanilla Moose and Clearkote Carnauba wax.

    it works good...really time consuming, but the results are nice

    it's great if you use the Professional/Mirror Glaze line that comes in light brown colored bottles. there's a few different grades of cleaner, i.e. swirl remover, fine, medium, heavy. which one to use depends on the condition of your paint... be especially careful if you go with the medium or heavy versions as they are more abrasive. you may even need to follow either of those with a finer grade compound to remove any swirls depending on your paint.

    the consumer grade stuff in the red bottles isn't nearly as good, I wouldn't bother.
