I already posted this on the "other board", but figured I'd hit this one as well:

OK, I know that some of you in here have the Maximum Motorsports CC plates on your car. How hard are they to install? It doesn't seem that hard, however, everytime I set off on a "not hard to do" project, something unexpected occurs. So...I was wondering if there is anything I should expect? I already replaced the sway bar ends, so I want to do the CC plates prior to having the alignment done...

Remove the struts, remove the top plates, drill 1 hole, bolt them in, put the struts back in, take it to an alignment shop. Piece of cake...

Hardest part is deciphering their directions to figure out how many spacers you need above and below the bearing.

Everything is easy except for the spacers. It took my a couple of tries before I was completely happy with em. Other than that, its a piece of cake!

Make sure the place that is doing your alignment will do custom ones, and will not adjust the plates with a hammer. This didnt happen to me, but did to a friend, the tech just banged on the plates with a hammer and dinged them badly.

Yes, the job is pretty straight forward like the others said. Definitely a worthwhile mod. Did you get it done yet?

Someone would have to die if they hit them with a hammer...:uzi:
