Some of you have seen these vids before. But I posted them on Streetfire.net so you can leave comments. I'm sure my buddy Chad (owner of the 99GT) will love reading them. :D

    His burnout:

    My burnout:

I can't wait to get my 331 in the car next month. :nice: Oh, and since this burnout challenge. He sold his 99GT and bought a Lightning. He also owns a Foxbody. :)

    Isn't the '99 a 4R70W?

Looks like your friend just has tires that don't smoke up very well.

You are one technical guy aren't ya? I'll change it to AUTO mustangs where I can... LOL I just wanted to clarify, it's not a T-5.... er MANUAL transmission challenge. :rlaugh:

Guess he shouldn't have made the challenge then. :D

I have a built transmission. Stall, and shift kit. His had a tuner that he changes line pressure on. If he would have given it some more gas his car should have done a lot better. His CUT springs, compared to my drag springs = his car should turn them over easier without wanting to go. As you can see my car was hoppin' ready to go forward. It doesn't really like to sit and spin. :spot: I have to hit it hard, or flat stand on my brakes.

Only reason I was thinking of it is because I wish I had a 4r70w instead of an AODE.:(

his burnout was weak. The push rod smoked him quite literally.

Yea. Down the road would be kind of an understatement though.

I'm also just not happy with shifts in the AODE. It's a lot more sloppy than a 4r70w.
