I just got my Predator and my C&L street. I am wondering if I can get both HP gains and MPG with a mail order tune? I want that extra 15-30 Hp i read about, but i am also hearing about guys improving their MPG as well?? What seems to be the trend?? better HP gains or MPG?

Both gains are pretty good. HP gains are usually 20-30 with an intake and tune. MPG increase is usually 2-5 city and highway.

Anything that increases the engine's efficiency will get you better economy. Those that don't see that usually admit to abusing the engine newfound's efficiency which explains the worse fuel economy then when you start :)

Not sure why the huge variance in MPG.....but bone stock, I have gotten 31-32 mpg on the highway. It took continuous driving for a few hours, but it got there. That's was with a manual 5 with 3.55s and going 70mph.

If I am just cruising around town....as in, "cruising"....I can get low 20s in the city.

Oh, just realized, my car isn't "bone" stock. I put in a K&N drop-in air filter and saw a 2-4 mpg increase overall.

Just be aware that you can upgrade to the 4 guage/message center/my color. I just did that on my new 08 for around $475 total. It was dealer installed and that included the new cluster, setting it for my current mileage, and new switch. Lots of cool info in the message center (see your owners manual).

i dont worry about mpg's at all. what i get is what i get. city=12-14; highway 18-22.
to save gas i drive my mazda truck to work, but in the GT it's not about mpg's.
