mr clean auto dry

i just washed my sister's black ford focus w/ the new mr clean auto dry (wanted to test it out on hers first to make sure it works...hehehehe) and it seems to be doing a great job.....she has a lot of stuff on it b/c she hardly cleans it....but i can tell that there aren't many if any water spots on the vehicle.....it's a great investment

I only had a few stubborn water spots on the roof from past washes that I was too lazy to rub out .

im totally getting that next time i go to autozone or some place, its like 20 bux so yeah!

walmart has it for $18, and home depot beats anybodys prices by 10%...so go get it at home depot and say its like $16-18 at walmart...i dont remember how much off the top of my head.

My only problem is that I spray it down with soap and clean in sections, then rinse with the regular water, and by the time I get around to rinsing with the filtered water its already dry...any tips for this?

Do you wash your car in the sun? If so, than that is your problem. If not, here is what I do. I wash my car in sections too. Evertime I'm rinsing one section I rinse the whole car, too, so that the car stays wet all the time. I hoped that's some help.

i use eagle one car wash stuff and it doesn't leave water sports even if you wash in the sun and it dires before you finish washing the whole car

in the sun and in the shade. i keep the whole car wet or at least try to.

I have a real issue with keeping my Stang clean. It's black , so for the longest time it was proving to be impossible to get a spot free shine. Then, I finally found a combination that works....even if it sounds ridiculous. Now, I use Rain-X wash and wax, making sure to wash in the shade. Then, I grab the electric leaf blower, believe it or not I swear it works, and I blow dry the entire car. The process takes about 10 minutes, but I don't have a single scratch on the paint job and it doesn't spot either. Then just slap some Armor-All spray on tire foam on the wheels and you are good to go. One thing I don't like about the tire foam however is that it typically drips down onto your rims and, upon drying, kills the shine. So, I have to take a slightly damp rag and go back over the rims. It's a pain in the a$$, the wash job typically only lasts for about three days, but it's the best I can do for a black paint job....and it looks great when it is clean.

This Mr. Clean stuff sounds like a good investment. Has ne one used it on the convertible top, is it even safe to use on the convertible?

I was kinda skeptical about the Mr Clean thing. I am old fashioned...I use the Absorber still! I also try to keep my whole car wet but am at an advantage because it is Silver and if I miss any spots you really cant tell unless you look hard! hehe!

I just leave the top alone, I use this stuff from the boating store called "amazing roll off"...white top and it gets rid of the dead mildew and seems to kill the live...then protects from more mildew

does it really work for a white top....i can hardly keep mine clean.....it seems i'm cleanign it once a week or even twice sometimes. let me know what the best solution is and how you use the stuff you have

I have Amazing Roll Off....i srpay it on, let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, take a nylon scrub brush (like for a shower/tub basin) and scrub it real good, then rinse it off. when i got it 1 yr old i took it to have professionally cleaned, but as long as you keep the maintaince up on it, it works great.

It's kinda expensive...$12 (i think) for a 1 qt bottle, but by god its worth it! just make sure you use a lot of water when rinsing, because you dont want this stuff to get on your paint full strength, it will eat the clearcoat.

the main cause of mildew is if you keep your car outside its the dew in the morning. most people dont believe this, but a guy at a top shop told me that and i tried wiping it off every morning and that drasticaly cut down the mildew, but I can't keep doing that constantly so I just clean it weekly or bi-weekly with the cleaner.

Wow, I thought I was the only person who thought of that....

I havn't really had a problem with my tan top other then it's time I replaced it. I generally use the simonize car soap or rain dance soap and keep the car wet until I dry it never seem to have water spots and my area's city water is fairly hard. The top gets the treatment as the rest of car except I rinse it off more to remove any soap residue.

Leaf blower - too funny! I went one step further though. I used the blower on my car a few weeks ago (exterior), but before that, I used to drop the top and blow the Hell out of the inside before I vacuumed and shined the inside!
