Hey all, I just bought a 2003 mustang convertible v6. I was looking at doing a cat-back exhaust but decided against it. I have instead decided to cut the stock muffler and weld on one of my own. The 2 questions that come up. 1.) What muffler should I go with for a quieter deep rumble in my v6? I do not want that ricey sound as I get on the throttle. 2.) What is a good website for new exhaust tips? All suggestions and comments are welcome! Dex
I went the same way and put on a Magnaflow. I like the way it sounds, a deep gurgle note but when you get on it like all 6ers it will get a higher pitch to it. It's more of a rap like the old glass packs were after they were burnt out but at a higher pitch.
Flowmasters, mac, borla, stinger, slp, magnapacks, just go to their webpage and look for a muffler that got the same size as the stock pipe.
