Ok the 2005's are rolling into town. Does this mean they are going to slash the prices on the 04's? I would think they would want to get rid of them?

I would assume so, I work for carmax and our mustang prices have been going down for a while now. It's a steal if you prefer last years car.

The last time that I heard, Ford was giving a $3,000 rebate on all brand new leftover 2004 Mustang GT's.

One of my good friends picked up an 04 GT fully loaded a few months back. He paid 20K out the door. Our local dealer has big stickers on them for 19,xxx and the Cobras for 30,xxx.

It's hilarious if you go to the corral and check out some of the people who are selling their 04 GTs and 04 Cobras. Theres one guy with an 03 Cobra w/15,000 miles and he's trying to get 27K for it, lol.

it does kinda suck for us 99-04 owners. I love my 99 GT and will be getting an 08' or 09' SVT(or equivalent) by then the 99 GT will be worth squat. I guess I'll try and keep it too, since I bought it new and it only has 52,700 miles now.

    I'd take a 04' GT for 19k (raises hand)

Give me a GT anyday for 19. I would install a KB blower and would have invested around 25 and have 400 to the wheels while still be less than the '05. Which car would you enjoy more? :nice:

    I would enjoy a 05 GT much more than a blown '04.

    The '05 handles much better
The '05's ride is much better
The '05's driver's position is much better
The '05's front seats are much more comfortable
The '05 is much quieter (road noise, etc).
The '05 looks much better. (inside & outside)
The '05 will have better resale value (modifications lower your resale value)
The '05 has a warranty on its drive train (add blower = no warranty)
The '05 has a bigger trunk.
The '05's shifter is in a better position.
The '05 runs on regular gas (with blower on the 04 you need premium)

    The '05 GT wins. :nice:

Just bought a 2002 GT fully loaded leather and premium sound for 17k out the door. Had the price down to 15k but after taxes and the usual it was 17k out the door.
