First off, it was pretty cool to see my gauges on the computer. I was using a buddy's R/T model. We were planning on datalogging it on his and just transferring to my regular model. He's the one that knows more out of both of us, and was surprised and how the timing climbs up to 40* when I'm speeding up. I never got a WOT light either. It may have been cause my TPS had a short(found that out thru the TwEECer ) We really didn't get much done. I do have a couple of questions tho: Is that much timing correct, I have it set at 14* and it gives 40* total timing? I have a sputtering problem also on the car, could it be related with the timing thing? Thanks
you will need to set your base timing (at the dizzy) to 10*. The 14* will sque the log since you will be adding 4* on top of the table your running off of. If you were not seeing WOT (from a short or just not going wot) the mid load timing tables may have been used and some of those do go 40+ (some of the higher ones are the EGR tables and why people who just un-do the egr tube at the header have a bad ping issue). In order to not sque the logs you need to set the fuel press. and timing to stock settings. another thing about logging since your using a buddies R/T. Make sure you are setting it up just to make sure the correct strat. is logged in case its off a fox or something. This may not be an issue but is worth bringing up.
Thanks blksn. As a matter of fact, we had overlooked the strategy but finally got it working. Ok, so I'll set my timing to 10* and fp at 39 w/o vaccuum for next time.
