After owning this car for 4 years, it finally works Rule #1....don't ever assume something is broken just because it doesn't work There are some long over due happenings that are going to be happening very soon to the old SSP
Well, i basically assumed that it was always hooked up but that the speedo itself was busted or something. Then the other day i was poking around under the dash and saw the end of the cable hanging down. I've been under the dash 1000 times and never noticed it, and i just never had a reason other than that to pull out the dash cluster and since i thought it was broke i never bothered. Now i just need to get the right speedo gear because with 4.10s it's about 20mph over what i'm really doing.
Well i've had 4 years of driving without a speedo so i'm actually real good at judging my speed without it. Plus i've learned to use the tach as a speedo and i know that about 2200rpm is roughly 60mph so i usually cruise at about 2500rpm on the highway and that's usually right up to speed with everyone else so i know i'm going 65-70. I'm going tomorrow to the local speed shop and getting the right speedo gear so i won't have to guess it anymore.
We were driving around in my friends Sentra tonigt and the gauge lights don't work, so we duct taped a glow-stick to the dash so he could see them!!!
