ok guys kinda limited on money here but i want to get 16psi out of my sq-trim
this will finish me up on the motor for now anyways

    i am thinking A:

    8-rib kit vortech w/o crankpulley
    10 % od crank pulley
    2.7 8-rib blower pulley

    -----------or

    18% od crankpulley
    electric water pump w/smaller pulley
    3.12 6-rib pulley

not sure of the psi that a od crank pulley will give ....and not sure of these mods will over spin the blower but i am thinking off keeping the rpms at 6k-6.5k

Im running a 3.12 and with the intercooler im pushing 10psi. Id imagine without the intercooler it would be around 12, but yea i would definitely upgrade to an 8 rib if your wanting that much boost

My set up is similar to yours. I spin to 7K and see 14psi with a 3.1" RR pulley. MMR LB, ported heads, except I have shorties, cats and stock catback.

I'd bet just a pulley swap and reving to 7K will get you there.

:eek:so you think just a pulley swap and upping the revs could get me there with out the od crank pulley

hmmm i do see a few people here pushing there cars to 7k is that safe i mean even with heads and cams i was told keep it below 6.5k

i was thinking if i could spin the blower faster sooner i could pull out more torque on the bottom end of the rpm...(no tring to be a kb or roots) just a strong centri.

You'll prolly overspin the blower heating it up and causing ur seals to go bad

I like the idea of the large crank dampner and electric water pump, but I wouldn't spin an S-Trim that hard. I'd look into spending some money on upgrading to a T-Trim before I did that.

I've been running mine to 7K without issues. If you want to keep it below 6.5K then you'll obviously need to spin your blower a bit harder than what I was suggesting. Vortech has an impellor speed calculator on thier support page. That should help you see how hard you'll need to spin your blower in relation to their max speed rating.

I think a T-Trim might be on order for you

    thx for the advice guys

i think i am going to go with

    10% overdrive crank pulley 8-rib

    8-rib pulley kit vortech

    2.75 8-rib blower pulley

that will get me to were i need for 6k redline

thxs for that calulator info. with this set up i can spin the blower alittle over rigth at 6k
