I recently got the APC SpeedGlo White Faced Gauges for my birthday. I was reading a "how to install" from www.mustangworld.com and they said if you gauges do not have a whole for the stop pins that you should simply poke a whole in it. Well the gauges I got does not have a whole for the Oil Pressure Gauge but, I don't know if it will ruin the gauges if I poke a whole in it. If I do not re-install the stop pin on the Gauge will it read wrong? What do you guys think I should do? Cerhard
someone correct me if im wrong but you do need the stop pin.. U should be fine if you are careful and make sure you line it up before you poke it through..
In the installation guide on MustangWorld it says that the Speedo, Tach, and Oil Pressure gauges are pressure loaded. I went out and looked at what the gauge does when I start it up and it shoots right to its reading automatically. It is not like the gas gauge which goes slowly. And when I shut it down it dropped gradually but hit the pin within a couple of seconds. cerhard
I am thinking of just returning the gauges for store credit. Anyone have gauges off of ebay? I've seen some deals but dont know the quality of parts. cerhard
i have the NR white face gauges, and i like them a lot!! i like them since they have the OEM print on them and look the same as the original, just white
