I've got a 90GT with org. paint still. It has gotten saop stains/runs all over it from a sorry butt carwash. I need to knwo what you would use to clean the paint and then what wax would be best. I'm on a tight buget so, please no $100 stuff.

Meguires Cleaner wax....Wash the car then apply this and buff it off like a normal wax. You wont beleive what it does. I bought a used 1978 Mustang II 4cyl. for $600 and kept it til I got my Cobra and turned around and sold it AFTER using the Cleaner Wax for $900. That was 1 year after I had the car! The Cleaner Wax brought back a Nice Rich luster to that old car.

If you want a single step system Meguiars cleaner wax is a great product as well as Zymol cleaner wax. I have used them both with great results. A couple of things to keep in mind with cleaner waxes is to make sure you keep them away from your black trim as it is a bear to remove and they can be hard to remove if you let them haze too long. Resist the urge to rub harder, use a quick detailing spray to help with removal if it gets difficult. You might also want to pick up some microfiber towels.
