I can't take it anymore! I've got to get my girl in to have that front popping/strut bearing issue taken care of...but I refuse to go back to my dealer! Anyone have good results with a Ford dealer's service dept. in the Austin area? Do tell, por favor!
Where did you buy yours? Mine is from Covert Ford on Research Blvd. Main man for the Service Department is Hal at 736-9695. Real nice guy.
Nothing yet - c a n 't let g o of GT, must drive, I am having separation anxiety and havn't even taken her in yet. I went in and spoke with him about the shaker, popping noise, a/c compressor unit clicking louder than I think is acceptable, gas tank refuelling paint in the arse etc. He was very professional and said they would take care of every item I put on a list - no questions! The dealership was extremely good all the way from ordering to delivery - I give them an A all the way. Even got my GT for well under MSRP
You've had all those issues? When was yours built? I've only had the front popping and a few skips on the shaker. No other problems thus far.
Build on a MONDAY :damnit: 01/10/05, delivered 01/21/05. Skanker 500 - same as most people, intermitten skipping . I don't get the "bad CD" or "CD error" message that many get. a/c compressor unit clicking - it is normal for it to click on and off, mine just seems to be too loud. Nothing major, I'm just picky. gas tank refuelling - happens about 1 out of 3 times. If I fill on slow speed it is fine, but I hate filling at slow speed. Other than that, aok.
i've had good results with covert and leif johnson. i stay away from maxwell and mak haik (spelling?). nothing really to base that off of, just a bad vibe i get from those guys
