Went out to start the beast today and heard a pop and then saw a spark or two from the starter solenoid and now turn the key and nothing happens... car ran fine yesterday.. nothing was touched.. nothing changed.. go out today......won't start.. wont even click or anything..no power at all..
what exactly happens when you turn the key?? is there a clicking noise coming from the engine bay?? is there no noise at all?? what is happening is key in determining the problem...
Do you have an external solenoid as in the stock clothing, or do you have an aftermarket starter with the solenoid on the starter? Either way, check the wire connections to verify they are tight, and clean. If not start there, then check the heavy cable to the starter to see if it is shorted to or rubbing on anything. If not I would guess the solenoid has an internal short, and replace it. Hope this helps.
Are you sure the terminals on the battery are tight? Maybe clean them and tighten them down, worth a shot. Good luck, Chris
Well.. I was playing around with it and I tightened up everything and when i tighted the solenoid up to the body a million sparks flew anndddd.. now there is power thanks guys for all your help
