    I'm in the middle of a SN95 Cobra brake converion on my 89 notch. I am sand blasting all of the parts I got from the bone yard to knock the rust off before powder coating. I wanted to get some tech advise on the wheel hub bearings.

    * Are they pressed in?
    * Can I use a large socket to tap them out?

    The bearings appear to be in good condition, but I figured for the money I could replace them. Any tech advise on this would be appreciated. I just need to get them out so I can finish sand blasting and get all of my parts off to the powder coater. :shrug:

    Thanks! I have been doing some research and this is the same answer I keep getting. This is why I have loved all of my Ford's.

    the front hubs are a single unit, the bearing are pressed in. The bolt holding it in is is a 35mm and is torqued at 280 ft lbs i think.
