Your best bet is in the 5.0 forum, you won't find much information here.

Umm i'll post more to this as they come to me but throttle cable, double hump cross member for the tranny, you might want to run bigger fuel lines, possible bigger fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator. Depending on the power from the 5.0 you might want to swap out the 7.5 for an 8.8? I also am in the process with my buddy in converting our 80 notch over to an all out drag car from the 4 cyl. it use to have:nice: peace

    Step One:
    Contact Local newspaper
    Step Two:
Place ad with car for sale
    Step Three:
    Sell Car
    Step Four:
Buy car with a 302 in it already
There might be a couple other steps I am forgetting, but I will post them if I think of them.

    LOL!
So you are calling me dumb?
Just the fact you have to ask what you need to swap a CARBED 302 into a MUSTANG Tells me you are the dumb one.
Yeah we all bow down to the Mighty V8 guys that come here to "help" us.
Basically I think you came here because the "V8" guys would not answer your lame ass Question.
And yeah, I need a "V8" Guy to hold my dick when I pee.

Funny thing, I am a 2.3 guy and I help More "V8" Guys than they ever help me.
Guess Being a Master Tech Is wasted because I am not a "V8" Guy. Damn.

I've got two 2.3 cars and two carbed 5.0 cars. I like both for different reasons. I am heading towards an efi 2.3 as a driver as fast as I can. Much easier to deal with than the carbed stuff.

This forum is best for people interested in keeping, upgrading and managing the 2.3. Obviously, for those cars, there is not the interest in the swap.

Since this is a dirt common swap, there is a ton of info on the 5.0 board, just do a search.

There are two easy approaches. If you want a hotrod, just swap in the stuff you want. If you want a daily driver 5.0 car, you need a lot of the 5.0 stuff, and you are best getting a donor car as a wreck, divorce car, or similar.
