Hello Guys.... For those of you who remember i have crashed my car over a month and a half ago,and finally yesterday i got it back! It took these stupid ****s at the body shop over a month to replace a few things on my car. The said the damage was over 6 grand....???and when i took a look at the list of items replaced i said no wonder..... For example they charged over 200 for fog lights that i do not even have on my car,but was still charged(the insurance was charged)so by adding more things to the list,gave them the right to keep the car at the shop longer,what crooks!!! They replaced the bumper twice due to some imperfections on the bumper when it arrived from saleen. Anyhow i got the car back but the bumper is missing the little MESH pieces that go into the bumper inlets.....Can anyone tell me where i can get those i think it is 6 pieces all together....SALEEN does not have them and they do not know when they will get them so they are no big help here.... If any one can tell me where i could get these i would apreciate it a lot..... Thanx Guys! Dean
I would report them to your insurance company. Charging you for fog lights that are not on the car is FRAUD! Can't help you on the mesh screens, I got mine from Saleen last year. Maybe try Mark at Performance Autosport, he usually has some of the oddball parts around for spares. Another alternative would be Haney Motorsport or Chicane.
I know your pain all too well. This is the typical S**T you have to deal with when you get saleens worked on. Well my story is similar, but i never wrecked my car. Due to a moron AAA tow truck man my front bumper had to be replaced. I wanted to reuse my original which is still useable but just needs to be sanded and repainted. But TEAM FORD of marietta had to use a new piece they told me. So I wait some 2-3 weeks to have my new bumper prepped and painted. Well after 3 weeks they call me, and say they want me to bring all the bolts from my old bumper and the mesh screen cause SALEENS dumb ass forgot to send it. So i do that then a few days later i get my car. They did a great job with the paint, and the allignment o the bumper was as good as it could get. Not perfecrt but good. Once my bumper was screwed up by the flatbed i never expected it to look perfect again. So after I have to actually go out of my way to make sure the authorized Saleen shop has all their parts, the idiots give me mismatched colors for the bumper numbers. They put on 2 silver #'s and one black. Well they said they could take the car back in the shop, but that was the last i was ever gonna deal with them. Took me while to get the 2 and the 5 off. All my bumper says now is 9, where my car is number 295. Guess what, still havent gotten my numbers. I love my car but absolutely hate saleen. would never buy a new car from them or a new part. I am glad i got my current car used as well. They dont deserve a single penny. All their service shops are run by *******s, and con artists. They have always taken longer than on svt vehicles or standard gt's that we have had. I could go on.....But anyways good luck man, and yes definately report that shop for fraud.
