So the other night my friend and i go to walmart, i park far away from everyone else like always, when we come back out there is a junker white beretta parked right on my drivers side, so close i cant even fit my hand between the two cars, our mirrors were touching, not side by side but front to back. Well by this time i am soooo mad i am about .2 seconds from punching out the window of the other car but sara made me go inside, we paged the owner to the front, no one ever showed up so i said **** it im going to just leave i dont even car ill get a new mirror. when we get outside some cracked out woman had backed the car out and was just sitting there and i said, there had better not be even one scratch on my car because by the looks of you and your car i can almost bet you dont have a bit of insurance and she said, welll yes there is a scratch and no i dont have insurance and im still furious and i am like, well then i suggest you get out a piece of paper and start writing i want every bit of information about you down to your mothers maiden name. well the woman knows im pissed and shes shaking and writing and after about 5 minutes she hands me the paper and i cant read a couple #s in her phone # so i said, what does this say and she told me and i said no i cant read it re-write it, the dumba** re-writes the whole paper... in the meantime an explorer pulls in behind where we are and asks if we need any help with anything and i said no, were okay and he said oh i just seen you were in a mustang, thought you might need to jumpstart the pos or something, #1, my car is scratched to hell, #2 this white trash ***hole thinks he's going to be cute, well i just let it go i didnt want to end up with an assault charge, but karma is a beautiful thing, ... because after i got things straitened out with white trash #1, she gets in her car, obviously still messed up out of her mind, back right up and smacks right into the front of White trash #2's, explorer. Pitifull i tell you, more than likely im not going to see a dime of the money to fix it Seriously why do we all work our butts off to pay for insurance and have a nice car and stupid white trash mother snuckers cant respect that. BLAH, long story i know im sorry but i really had to vent.

Umm... why didn't you call the police? THAT was a dumb move in not doing that. It sucks and all about your car, but by letting that women get back into her car and continue to drive is a NO NO. What if she had backed up into a child or something? With the cops there you would have had a report filed and your insurance would have more than likely covered the damages if the women wouldn't.

    +1 for calling the cops.

it's ironic/funny/awesome (in an evil way) that she backed her car into that other guy's explorer, lol.

Another vote for call the cops. In fact, I wouldn't have gone back inside to page 'em. Would called the cops, shown em how I couldn't even get in and then try to have em towed right there. Then if your cars is damaged they are there to see it and can write up a report. Close is one thing but not even being able to get in is beyond ridiculous. Next time try to find a Mercedes or BMW or someone else who cares about their car like you do and park near-ish them.

The manager was way wrong in what he told you. A parking lot such as that is considered a public vehicular area and we can do something about that. And chances are your insurance is not going to do anything without a report from the police. And from the sounds of it that woman should have not been allowed to drive out of the parking lot.

Thats what everyone keeps telling me too. I was stupid for just not calling them anyway, And she did not have any business driving, told the walmart rent-a-cop and no one seemed to even give a crap. I was just so upset by the whole ordeal that i was not thinking straight.

Sorry to hear. The whole thing just sucks.

I gotta say, I woulda had to laugh seeing the jerk in the Exploder get his (that is classic). Really an Explorer driver knocking on a Mustang?

I don't know about calling the cops though. IMHO, there may not have been a reason to do so in this case. First of all, that would have set you back at least an hour waiting for them. Even then, do you really want to submit an insurance claim on a scratch? It better be a pretty big scratch to bust through your deductible (was this significant damage - or do you have low deductibles?). And then your rates go up. Oh, plus, if you had gotten a police report, your insurance company would get that information regardless if you decided to fix it out of pocket (hoping to protect your rates), and they would jack your rates up regardless whether you file a claim.

Very true very true, i have no idea how much my deductible is but it is ridiculous i know that, and i pay out my *** for insurance as it is, and thats with my dad listed as primary driver of the stang and i am primary driver of my camry. Waiting for the cops would have sucked too. And yes it is a very large scratch, more like a huge scrape, its about and inch wide, about 4 feet long or longer and dented in a good ways. Makes me sick at my stomach to look at it.

i have heard many of times that a parking lot is like no-mans-land. meaning the cops can't give any tickets for accidents and crap(they can still clip you for speeding). pretty much if you hit someone in a parking lot there will be no fault issued, which is what insurance uses to determine if they will pay or not.

but like blk9450 said, you shouldn't go to walmart cuz they ruin your local economy.

My son got into an accident with his VW GTI. We had it towed to the body shop and when the tow truck driver backed it off his truck, he ran my son's car right into the fence at the body shop .... wrecking the back end (my son had only wrecked the front end of his car). We called the cops to get a police report fearing that the tow company wouldn't pay for the damage their employee caused. When the cop came, he said he couldn't even fill out a report because it was on private property ....

how is a parking lot like no mans land? thats a cops favorite spot for tickets (fire zone and handicap parking, expired registrations and inspections, whatever other bull**** they can find). i guess as far as accidents go. i agree with not supporting walmart, lawsuits popping up everywhere due to the civil issues with their employees and ****.

we are talking about traffic accidents here, not registraions. it is no-mans-land because there are no posted traffic signs, lanes dictating traffic flow, or laws that regulate parking lots--other than speed.
