I am aware that it is against the law,and i am aware that you can no longer buy the MIL's.But there are alot of simple write ups on how to make your own from radio shack parts, looks to be very simple.Besides that a tuner will fix that also.

Ok can anyone give me some info on the SLP mid pipe.I know its a X but I like the idea that in the far future when I do headers I wouldnt have to buy another Mid.It says that it will work with stock or LT's,I dont really understand how it works but whenever I do headers Ill be doing mid length headers most likely from JBA,would the SLP work with those.

Avoid the durablack coated MAC products at all cost!

The Prochamber does sound bad ass, and supposedly MAC has a new ceramic coating on thier pieces. If you go MAC IMO go stainless and get it ceramic coated locally.

Ok this may be a dumb question, but what does the ceramic protect aginst? The only thing to worry about in my area is rain,no salt,no ice...nadda just plain ol rain.Ive never had a stainless rust on me,so it would seem to me that I dont even need a coating

Ceramic keeps the heat in the pipe, and protects from all corrosion.

MACs durablack coating flakes off in a few weeks and starts rusting in less than a year.

Durablack sucks, but as long as you dont live where it snows, or near the salt air, aluminized will last for many years...

Late Model resto doesnt even have the catted PC.What brands of mids allows for the removal/reinstall of the cats,I see that SLP,and looks like Pypes do,are there any others?I hate having to try and mount up the mid to where I dont get exhaust leaks and that damn passenger side gasket breaks to easily and its a special order in this area. Are the Pypes any good,do they sound good,I just wanna do this right the first time...I hate to waste cash.

no retail midpipes have a modular component any more for cats, the catted PC is on hold until who knows when.

Pypes advertises that you can but they do not say for which mid pipe.Late model sells the pieces to put in place of the cats to change back and forth but they also dont say for which pypes mid.
