Here's an easy question: what kind of battery should I buy? I've had recommendations for Duralast. I don't have any special needs, no 300 W speakers, no neon lights.

93 LX 2.3L, since my sig doesn't seem to show.

Well... if you dont have any high current draw on your battery... get a stock one. If you dont ever want to worry about your battery EVER... get an optima redtop. They sell at Costco for $99 and they're are maintenance free and you can mount them in any location, they dont get corrosion on the terminals, no risk of explosion, and you can drain them and recharge them like 100 times rather than a lead-acid battery that does NOT like to be drained lower than 12V...

red top isnt deep cycle like the yellow top. I personally picked up a 35/75 series redtop for my 94GT today. its a little taller than stock but still clears the hood. seems like a nice piece, and the extra amps will help out when i move it to the trunk

pic - it looks pink cause i had a flourescent light over the setup and the camera was set for incandesent

The optima webpage says they have no batteries for a 1993-1992 4-cyl. 2.3L w/MT, which is what I drive.

Given this, what made you decide to buy one?

well i think the fox cars used the same batteries as the sn95, and i just put a 75/35 series red top in my 94 so it should also fit the fox platform.
