I have some questions and I figured it'd be easy to list them all in one post so here goes....

I've been wanting to do some mods to my 2000 V6 Manual and I have questions about it.

t-lok and 4.10's... Does anyone know what the 4.10's will top you at at, I've been told it drops the top speed, anyone know the numbers on it?

My gears seem to be.. Off center, as in, My first is way the hell toward the steering wheel and my 3rd is where anyones normal 1st would be, any ideas on that?

During speed ups, the car seems to be making a whining noise, nothing too loud, just a high pitched buzzing almost.

New Short throw shifter... Is it worth it or should I just stick with the one I got?

I'm sorry if these have been answered fully before, I have been looking around for awhile and didn't seem to find answers to these.

P.S.- How many mods you think it would take to burn a 1990 300ZX in a race, It's stock non-turbo, and I got owned last time.

My neighbor has a 300zx non-twin turbo, and when my car was stock and so was his, his was slightly faster from a complete stop to about 80 or 90. I put a cold air intake kit, exhaust, and u/d pulleys and I can pull ahead but not by much. They're both pretty close. His is also stick, he said the automatics are alot slower.

Most people seem to be recommending 3.73's for Manual transmissions and 4.10's for automatics. Not sure what you'll top out at though.

Go with some 3.73s to be on the safe side. Not shure about the shifter but I would go with the steeda tri-ax if you want to change it.

There is a lot of debate between 4.10's and 3.73's. Most say go with 4.10 for an auto and 3.73 for a manual, but it is ultimately up to you. I have no idea what the car tops out at when you change the gears. As far as the short shifter is concerned. It is great especially for racing. The short shifter will help you to not miss third or any other gear for that matter and the distance between is shorter for better shifts. It is normal for your shift box to be off center like that, mine is as well.
