I just wanted to get some opinions on my next upgrade for my 03 Cobra. I want to put on a 3.1" pulley for the supercharger, however some people say the computer will need to be reprogrammed, other say it will not. Is it needed? The only other parts I have is a BBK intake and a catback system. Any advise would be great, thanks.

you will need a dyno tune for the increased boost.

if you want to try and avoid it, make a pull with an a/f reading. most likely you will need a tune though.

You'll want it tuned, end of discussion. Slapping on a smaller pulley and then rolling the dice on a safe A/F is not wise. Spend the money and make sure your car is safe.

No it will not require reprogramming, However there will be a huge change in performance obviously. We just had an 03 we put the 3" on, it produced 15 psi. Without the SCT chip it was good, but with the tune it was impressive.

Yes listen to this guy! You don't need to dyno tune the car or check its A/F because he's guaranteeing that all '03 Cobra's are safe with a 3.1 and no tune, really!

    15PSI off of a 3.10 pulley? :rlaugh:

get the tune to be safe and to get the max out of your mods. It is not worth the risk to not get it retuned...

Say it with me: chip, pulley, tune. Like three peas in a pod.

It's a roll of the dice. It's not impossible for your car to be fat enough to handle that size pulley BUT if your wrong and it is too lean at high RPM it is a very expensive lesson. These motors are very unforgiving when lean.
