Will 6x8 speakers fit in the door and rear holes in a 94gt convert? Also will aftermarket speakers work well with factory mach 460 system ?

6x8 will only work in the doors, the rears take 6x1/2. You can use aftermarket with Mach 460, but its almost a waste as the Mach system does divide frequencies. Might work better with components....not really sure.

Yeah, no one wants a big box in the trunk. 8 inch woofers don't really cut for bass. You need at least a 10 inch woofer or higher to really hear it. A sub and amp can be added to the Mach System pretty easily, its what I did. There are many configurations of boxes you can use. I chose to go with a single kicker woofer mounted in a MTX thunderform box pushed by a mono soundstream amp. It plenty bass for me as I like a bass presence to my music and not something you can hear a mile away.

Here is a pic of that thunderform box. I got mine off ebay from a dude that was selling it locally. I trashed the MTX woofer it came with though as it was a piece of junk. It says it won't fit in a vert, but it fit just fine in my 96 Mustang as well as my 04 Mustang. And it leaves me access to my spare in the trunk.
