I have a 2004 V6 Mustang. I totally adore my car and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I do have a concern about the steering rack. It sometimes makes a creaking noise when I turn the steering wheel. I've read that other '02 to '04 Mustangs have had this problem, including some Mach 1s. I was just wondering if this is something that I need to be really concerned about and what is causing it, etc. Thank you.

    First off, Welcome!

The creeking sounds you're hearing might be from the unibody structure moving. You're hearing it because there's more movement in the body when you're steering to turn. You may also here similar sounds when slowly turing into or out of driveways, or when you drive over speedbumps in parking lots. I heard similar sounds from my 03, but haven't heard any creeking sounds since I installed full length sub-frame connectors.
