I'm new to this forum and wanted to say whatsup to everybody. I got an 05 saleen sc and a 1998 gt that I use as a daily driver. I recently blew a head gasket on the 98 and I'm trying to decide whether I should go ahead and throw a 5.0 forged short block in there since the motor has over 100k miles and I spray a 100 shot. Some input will help me out. Thanks

Welcome to the Forum and congrats on your new Saleen purchase. Any plans for it?

    Welcome.
If you didn't ruin the rings or bearings yet, just fix the head gasket.
A modular engine build up, is extremely costly.
And nitrous may sound like a cheap quick fix for power, but it's not.
By the time you buy all the goodies to make it work to potential, you are at like a grand. Then you have refills that can be around $50 a pop.

If anything on the 98, do a PI head conversion while it's apart to do the head gaskets.
Then use the rest of the cash for a 465 upgrade on the Saleen.
