It depends on what kind of work your talking about. We have owned numerous boats, including a 32' Luhrs, 24' Sea ray, 33' Chris Craft, 18' Hydrasports etc... and can say that the up keep of a boat although can seem like a lot, its not much. Once the boat goes in the water it gets used until its out of the water. With a car you have to change oils, and perform maintenance more often because of the more use. Maybe thats my take on it, but I enjoy getting the boat ready for the water, the cars rarely do I find myself having a good time getting it ready for things. 350hp each, thats some power. I can definately see those speeds and we all know, 35 mph on the water is NOTHING like the land!
that song was about plantoon boats... astro turff, lawn chairs and tiki tourches... but me and joe will prolly be anchor'd out and getten drunk all summer long~!
Not that I don't agree with this saying for certain applications, but my boat has been in the water every year since 1982 (when it was new) and has never needed a major overhaul. Now that I am starting to race it though... I'll be spending money on making it faster and better up-keep. Oh - and it doesn't use a drop of gasoline!
That rafting looks INSANE. I remember doing that when I was young and no matter what you had an awesome time. Wish we had stuff like that here in New England! Im also testing myself. I grabbed a few pics and Im going to find out what each boat in the picture is. I know its crazy, but I like to know more about boats than I do about cars!
Close, only a mile away in muskamoot bay. jobbie nooner only happens twice a summer, muskamoot is every weekend.
i go here during the summer..... http://www.lakeozark.com/partycove/partycovepics.html The bad thing is that Lake of the ozarks is the third most dangerous waterways in the WORLD...i didnt believe it until i saw it but it seems every day someone drowned up there....believe it or not there are some boats in the pictures
You guys have NO idea how good you have it. Although there is a lot of boating here in new England, you will NOT find places like that. Around the 4th of July and those times, you get a lot of raftng up and such, but I have never seen an event like that. That to me would be the time of a life. Imagine the women you would meet, the beers you would drink, all the new friends you could make etc... Ill have to get out of CT sooner and see what I can find where Im heading!
I got a girls gone wild video they were at some big boat event and all the chciks were naked they werent even being filmed for GGW it was an awesome dvd.
