It depends on what kind of work your talking about. We have owned numerous boats, including a 32' Luhrs, 24' Sea ray, 33' Chris Craft, 18' Hydrasports etc... and can say that the up keep of a boat although can seem like a lot, its not much. Once the boat goes in the water it gets used until its out of the water. With a car you have to change oils, and perform maintenance more often because of the more use. Maybe thats my take on it, but I enjoy getting the boat ready for the water, the cars rarely do I find myself having a good time getting it ready for things.

350hp each, thats some power. I can definately see those speeds and we all know, 35 mph on the water is NOTHING like the land!

Not that I don't agree with this saying for certain applications, but my boat has been in the water every year since 1982 (when it was new) and has never needed a major overhaul.

Now that I am starting to race it though... I'll be spending money on making it faster and better up-keep.

Oh - and it doesn't use a drop of gasoline!

That rafting looks INSANE. I remember doing that when I was young and no matter what you had an awesome time. Wish we had stuff like that here in New England!

Im also testing myself. I grabbed a few pics and Im going to find out what each boat in the picture is. I know its crazy, but I like to know more about boats than I do about cars!

You guys have NO idea how good you have it. Although there is a lot of boating here in new England, you will NOT find places like that. Around the 4th of July and those times, you get a lot of raftng up and such, but I have never seen an event like that.

That to me would be the time of a life. Imagine the women you would meet, the beers you would drink, all the new friends you could make etc...

Ill have to get out of CT sooner and see what I can find where Im heading!
