i put new wheels on the car, chrome saleen replicas, 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the rear with 1" spacers in the rear. tire sizes are 265/35 in the front and 285/35 in the rear. the centercaps are straight from saleen. i had 17" 03 cobra wheels on but i sold them (with the tires) for $900 to the kid around the block, who then put them on his '07 subaru sti (no, i'm not kidding!!). i've always wanted these wheels and should have got them from the start but now that they're on i couldn't be happier. i bought the tires and wheels with free mounting and balancing and free shipping for just under $1600, i got them from these guys: www.americanmuscle.com. and now the pics!!!!!!
Car looks very good... One of the few cars that makes me wish i held out for a Cobra Question... Was the STi guy using them as track wheels? My good friend who had an EVO that he tracked often used a set of my wheels once we found the bolt pattern was the same, the offset was not far off eithier. Come to find out that its not that uncommon for EVO guys to run Mustang wheels for the track. My old wheels (Momo Copies) ended up on a friends twin turbo 300zx... now he is eyeing my fr500 replicas...
i dont think he was using them for track wheels, he basically wanted them to be different. his car has the same exact bolt pattern so they bolted right on, but they stick out at least an inch, if not more, off the body.
DAYAMMM!! I can tell you guys, if it looks that good in the pics, it looks twice as good in person. I am speechless. Thanks for posting dude.
Looks really clean...The spacers made them sit perfect....On SN95's the rear end is so narrow & the rear fenders are so wide that it always looks like the front wheels stick out more than the back when u run 9" wide wheels in the front....I have 17x10.5's on the rear of my 95 & it still needs to come out a little imo...
i totally agree. i took the spacers off just to see how it would look and the front wheels stuck out more than the rears, basically it looked like *****. the spacers had to be put back on.
