Noise when turning off A/C???

02GTMaMa:

There is a little door that directs air flow to the defroster (windshield) or to the dash vents or to the floor. If you move the selector from A/C or defrost to vent, the door will move and it can (but not always) make a soft clunk sound.

Also, you want to leave the selector switch in 'vent' when turning off the car rather than A/C or defrost. This will help to dry out the ducts so the dreaded mildew smell doesn't start.
