I have a 94 Stang 5spd. During idle, there is a continuous chirping noise coming from under the car. When I press on the clutch, the noise goes away. When the car is rolling, the chirping continues until approximately 1500rpm, after that, it goes away. Any idea what the problem might be? Thanks.

    speaking of throwout bearings....

has anyone replaced one with 2 new clutches, fork, pilot & had the freakin flywheel resurfaced twice as well and STILL had to suffer with killer clutch chatter?

PLEASE someone tell me they know the cure???!!!!

My only guess would be that your flywheel needs to be replaced. A brand new clutch shouldn't chatter as bad as you speak of.

The HD clutches supposedly are even better at removing clutch chatter, but I have not personal experience with it. Maybe a Spec Stage II or a King Cobra would fix your problem.

BTW, you can get a stock replacement flywheel for $50 through autozone. It's special order, but it only takes a day or two to get from wherever the main wherehouse is in your area.
