I'm tired of this worthless oil cooler on the 4.6L and would like to do away with it.

Are there any replacement or delete packages that would move the filter and eliminate the need for this leaky contraption??

Someone mentioned a piece that was called Evans Replacement but I couldn't find any info.

I had a broken oil filter adapter on a Cobra once. What I did until I got my new one from the dealer was removed it and the oil cooler both from the car. I installed a 2V oil filter adapter with no cooler. It worked fine for the week I had to wait to get my Cobra oil filter adapter. I'm sure you could run that on there. I will add that the end that the hose connect to is a tight fit in the Cobra though. I had a hard time clamping it.

What did you do with the coolant hose that went to the cooler?

There is an oulet on the 2V oil filter adapter that returns coolant to the block. My gasket was in good shape too...it is a quality gasket, you might be able to reuse it.
