oil pressure problem!

The oil pressure gauge is more of a dummy light. If it's still in between the bars on either end you should be fine. It's more of a gauge that tells you if you have oil pressure or not. If you want to see what's really going on, get an Autometer.

Like vibe said, I'de be more worried if the needle was to far down on the other end. And like Jake said, the stock gauge is only good for telling you if you have oil pressure or not. I'd pick up an Autometer unit.

The stock gauge is supposed to be an idiot light, as mentioned. It is, however, an electrical gauge, and susceptible to electrical problems -- are any of your other gauges acting abnormally? When I had a broken ground, my oil pressure gauge would read very high, and so would the temperature gauge (incorrectly).

Right now its by the white line at the very end of N O R M A L. What happens if I have too much oil pressure?
