Here it is 10,000 to spend.let me know what you would do.i have a 97 with 60,000 miles pretty much like new.im just confused between heads, blower cams and such or a hole new set up.now mind you this will be with install since i want it all done at once.i dont need any power adders since i have 2 now.but just wondering on new goodies or push the old stuff.i would just buy one done but buying a COBRA so i'll have fun there to.(96 mystic)plus i like my car.not to mention the BOSS(wife) wants that.i want this combo to push 11 or 10 but not get to out of contol.i love true street.thank for any info or direction you point me in,oh and i live in michigan so any advice to a good shop to do this would be great. THANK YOU for the time adam.:SNSign:

    Seriously though..

VT stage 3 heads (full porting), VT stage 3 cams (get someone to custom blower grind them for you), 3.73 gears, forged internals, Kooks long tube headers, SLP loudmouth catback, and x-pipe, toss what ever blower you have on top, and maybe a hit of nitrous on that. Thats what I would do to my '98 if I had 10K to spend, and it wasnt my daily driver. Just my $.02

Well, in that case you need to start planning carefully for what you are going to do to your car. That is a lot of money and you need to decide what you will use the car for, what your tastes are, and what your target HP is.

I would suggest spending 50% on performance, 25% on looks, and 25% on suspension as a rough starting point.

However, no one is going to be able to really advise you until you start narrowing down your selections.

To just throw it out there I would say get a Kenne Bell and a Maximum Motorsports box and you will have a grand or two left over for bail and speeding tickets :nice:

i say spend it if you wanna. everyone flamed me about getting a 4k loan for my s/c, but i wanted it so i got it! if you can afford to fix up your car then do it! i would go with a forged bottom end, some nice blower cams. then crank up the boost on your s-trim, maybe an upgrade to the t-trim?

im fine with house and all other .and as far as speeding ticket wont happen.not on street anyway.but McTeague i like what you said about 50 per,25 suspension, but looks im done besides painting my hood.i dont get into the ground effects and all that.so thats where im at performance.just dont want to keep doing things over and over.i would say 500 to 600 horse at wheels im good.or close to it.can i get that with heads, cams and such.or start over.

    You will need forged internals.
