your gonna need a tuner with that. the intakes worth a dam need a custom tune. the c&l seems to make the most power from dyno claims tho. i have the tunable inductions and it sounds sweet. witht he tunable induction kit you can get it painted to match your car also.

Snakeman, I just got done installing a C&L intake and got an 87 octane tune.
That cost about 800 with dyno pulls and custom tunes for my vehicle.

Before that I spent about 320 total to get a dual exhaust. I bought the gT takeoffs for about 90. I brought them to a local muffler shop and they welded in the driver side pipe and muffler, and designed a custom X pipe all for 220. It sounds great. So the whole thing installed was cheaper than most axle back muffler pairs and I like the sound, its loud at 3-4k, but not too loud in the neighborhood.

I also had a K&N drop in filter cost $35. I pulled off the little rubber nozzle on the air box and cut a rectangular hole in the front of the box to let more air in. Those things gave me a dyno pull of 191HP to the rear wheels in 3rd gear.

Now we install the CAI and the tune and now I get 197ish HP @5400rpm and about 219 Ft lbs torque @3500rpm to the rear wheels with an 87octane tune. The tune really helped on the low end torque. At 1700rpm I got a gain of about 20Ft. lbs. You can definitely feel that in the seat of the pants.
My hunch is that came from the tune and not the CAI, but just my hunch.

They also gave me a 93 octane tune that I will be testing this weekend, and will go get a dyno pull next week.

So long story but... I would try to get a dual exhaust using the GT takeoffs, then a drop in K&N and a tune. the tuner is about 350ish, and you can get tunes form several places, like bamachips for around 75 -115.

    anyway hope that helps.
    Steve
