There are many places such as Kodakgallery.com that will make custom books from your photos. What's the cost of something like this? I'm guessing it's a bit expensive for a book you would actually write in.

not when you run your own printing press, it will be done with low priority, basically when there isnt much going on. I will post pics of the real version when its done, since im giving it low priority i will take around a week to get done.

    Wow, looks nice!

Although I'd wonder how the covers would look with the picture in landscape instead of portrait? That way the car could fill up a little more space. But I'm no good at artsy stuff, hehe.

:rlaugh: he said he was going to make a one-off notebook, not that he is taking orders. you guys are funny. have you looked into any of the photo sites that can make things like this for you? photobucket, kodak, snapfish, etc?

i thought about making a photo book of my write ups, but without text, it would not make sense to the normal person :bang:

Yes, I've looked at the sites. The books are $25 to $30 each or more, depending on number of photos. That's way too much for a notebook I would actually use as a notebook. If someone could print some for, say $5, I bet he'd sell a bunch.
I already mentioned that these are expensive to use as notebooks.
If you are a printer, then you certainly could do it yourself. But I doubt there would be any profit in anyone doing this for someone else unless the price was $25 to $30 each or we each ordered 100 or more.

thats probably his exact reason for making them for himself only. even if he did try to sell them, shipping from bahrain would kill any cost advantage he had.

    Thanks for the insight Bigcat

So, today it hurts to ask a question. I'm glad to at least provide you a good laugh, sir. How the heck would anyone know from this post that the guy is in Bahrain? Lighten up my friend, the reason we talk here because we don't know everything and are treated with respect when we inquire.

You seem to have put very little thought into your comment, not like the usually helpful posts I see from you here. I hope you have a better day tomorrow.

 i didnt mean it like that, and as i re-read it, i still dont see my post like that. i am sorry. :(

as far as the bahrain comment, i just added that since most people probably do not remember he is in bahrain, not as an insult.

again, if you thought i was trying to put anyone down, i apologize. thats the thing with the internet, you cant always be sure how the typed words will read to someone else.

its true i am from bahrain and i didnt take it as an insult since all bigcat said was "shipping from bahrain would kill any cost advantage he had." which is true

"shipping to the US would cost much more than what anyone would pay"

the only solution if i was printing them was to print bulk order and send it to a reseller in the US which would be a hassle

anyways after mine is done we can see if i can work something out and bigcat how come you know im from bahrain do u still remember form a previous post or something

Please refrain from attempting to conduct business within the discussion forums. Use the PM system if you interested in gaining cost data etc. The orginal post did not strike me as an attempt to solicit buyers.

It appears that bigcat has a better understanding of the situation than you do. I would even go so far as to say that his post was better thought out than yours.

It looks like a great idea. A scrap book of sorts, for your car. Might also be cool to put reciepts or notes etc. for modifications as you go along.

I say that I'd like one if the price is right is an attempt to conduct business???
I think some people are a bit too sensitive.
