Been a while since I've been on the site. Sold the 03 for a truck, but just couldn't take that

So, I'm looking at a 97 Cobra with a stock bottom end, Vortech V2 S-Trim with 8 lb pully, Anderson Power Pipe, 90 mm mass air, 42 lb injectors, 4:10 gears, xcal2, three inch exhaust...

I know this will need to be tuned in, but with a tune - how will thie be as a daily driver?

And I've been doing some reading on here and other boards and the only thing I'm not familiar with is the "Mr Freeze" kit...will this help the longevity of the short block?

Just don't want to be rebuilding the SB any time soon.

    Estamates on power?
    Thanks

Well, with the 96-98s and 8psi...it's hit or miss. Some break, some don't.....
Seriously suggest SOLID tune and look for pistons and rods.

Daily, it'll be really fun...almost too fun. ;)

the mr.freeze is methanol injection if im not mistaken, its supposed to help with detonation and at the same time add power because it allows you to add more timing. As others said though either get a spot on tune or get a real bottom end. I want to supercharge my 97 but i will hold out until i rebuild the bottom end over winter. This is my only car and i cant afford to have it down with a blown engine, so no chances for me.

Thanks for the replies. I'm just torn because the car is pretty nice...I just really worry about how long the bottom end will last (like you guys said). and I really can not afford to have the car down - or to replace the rods and pistons any time soon.
