Well, I went to order my supercharger today. I had been split between ordering a 2.2L KB or a procharger p1-2. I went with the
p1-2. The tuner thats doing my car said that both were good and each has its pros and cons. He was very helpful. I was there for like 2 hours talking to him about it. He even took me for a ride in a procharged car that he did.(the car was 400 hp on a p1) I was leaning towards the KB, but that thing pulled like a mule which pretty much made my decision. I know I didnt get to see what a kenne bell is like, but there was also a pretty big price difference between the 2 and he said he'd be able to get between 390-420hp at the rear wheels, which is pretty much the same as the KB. Ill let you know my numbers when the car gets done. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!! Thanks.

When your car is done we can race to see if the procharger was a better decision than the kb...:nice:

Sounds like fun. If only you were a little closer. I know the KB makes more low-end torque(that was a major reason I liked the KB), but I heard the procharger keeps pulling up top, where the KB kinda levels off. Like I said earlier, there are pros and cons to each. But it would definately be fun to give it go.:nice:

If you planned to be in the 400RWHP range, and the 2.2 was too much $$$, you should have looked at the KB 1.7. The 9lb kit gets you there easy, and then when you build the motor you can still up the boost as high as 14lb.

You made the right move. Match a KB up with a procharger? That always gives me a little chuckle, as the KB is no match for the Procharger even at its base P1SC Intercooled kit. Your Mod motor loves RPM's so give it what it desires.:nice:

Good luck and enjoy it. I started out getting a KB but ended up with the ATI. Both are excellent and maybe I'll get a KB next time around. The Procharger is very reliable & has excellent driveability. You will like it. Get a boost gauge & use a shift light to protect the motor. DO NOT OVERFILL the oil.Do not use the entire container. And, purchase the 3year warranty from ATI(about $49.)
